Foil Stamping is the use of a special metallic, film-backed material adhered to paper by a heated metal die. This produces an image with a reflective surface.

Embossing is the creation of a three-dimensional design or image on paper. A metal die is used to create a 3D effect that can be seen and felt.

Die-Cutting is the cutting of shapes into various materials, including both plastic and paper. The process is much like a cookie cutter, where a metal die located on the press will cut the shape out of the paper.
