FAQs - Linen Uncoated Postcards

Which postcard paper should I choose?

Original 14PT is the everyday all-rounder. Premium 16PT carries the widest range of coatings and special finishes. Heavyweight 18PT is rigid and writable. Cover 100LB is a lighter, mail-friendly stock. Plastic 20PT is waterproof, and Luxe Edge 32PT is our thickest board with a coloured seam.

Why do the finish options change after I select a size?

Finish availability is tied to the exact size. The product page loads finishes only after a size is selected and clears the previous finish whenever the size changes, preventing an unavailable size-and-finish combination from reaching the quote stage.

Can I print on both sides?

Yes. Use the front for the main visual or headline and the back for supporting details, contact information, an address area, a coupon, or a handwritten note. Coating availability still depends on the selected paper and size.

What should a marketing postcard include?

A strong postcard usually needs one clear message, one useful visual, a specific offer or reason to care, and one obvious next step.

A short, readable headline
A deadline or relevant detail
A phone number, URL, or QR code
A direct call to action

Why do the finish options change when I change size or paper?

Coating and finish availability is tied to the exact paper and size combination. You are only shown the options that exist for what you have already chosen, so an unavailable combination can never reach the quote stage.

What is the difference between a coating and a finish?

A coating is the surface treatment applied to a standard stock — uncoated, aqueous, satin, matte, high-gloss UV, or spot gloss. A finish is a speciality stock such as kraft, linen, pearl or foil, which usually brings its own fixed coating with it.

Can BizCard print and mail my postcards?

Yes. Choose postcard mailing services to upload or build your design, add an audience or address list, and have the finished cards printed, addressed, and mailed for you.

Why do some postcards say “Get a quote” instead of showing a price?

A few speciality stocks — Plastic 20PT and Luxe Edge 32PT among them — are produced to order rather than priced from a standard table. Those show a quote request instead of a live price so you always get a real figure for the job.

Which postcard product should I choose?

Choose Classic for gloss-cover versatility, Cotton for a textured uncoated feel, Original for a broad everyday 14PT range, Super for the widest finish variety, or Luxe for premium 18PT C1S stock with a deliberately limited finish set.

Why does Cotton Postcards not have a finish dropdown?

Cotton Postcards uses the same textured, uncoated linen finish across all 38 sizes. The product page therefore shows a fixed Cotton finish label rather than a dropdown containing a single option.

Can I upload my own postcard design?

Yes. Upload a print-ready file and review the bleed, trim, and safe-area preview before ordering. You can also start from a template or build a design online.

Can I choose rounded corners or an all-inclusive pricing tier?

Not currently. The customer-facing Postcards UI does not include a corners or shape selector, and it does not expose an all-inclusive pricing toggle.
