Business cards for clinics, practices and care teams
A healthcare card does two jobs. It tells a patient who they saw and how to reach the practice again, and it sits in a wallet or on a fridge until the next appointment. That means clear type, a phone number that is easy to find, and a stock that does not look tired after a month.
These cards are for whole teams as much as for one person: clinics, urgent care centers, home health agencies, physical therapy and rehab practices, pharmacies, wellness centers and community health programs. Most practices order the same layout for every staff member, changing only the name, title and direct line.
What to put on a healthcare business card
- Name with credentials (RN, NP, PA-C, DPT, PharmD) and job title
- Practice or clinic name and logo
- Main phone number, plus a direct line or extension if patients need it
- Address and suite number, so the card works as directions
- Website or patient portal address, or a QR code to your booking page
- Hours, or an after-hours number, on the back
- An appointment reminder area on the back, if front desk staff will write in the next visit
Stocks that suit the work
- Silk / Matte Laminated
- Smooth and wipeable, and holds up to frequent handling at a front desk.
- Matte / Uncoated
- Takes pen and pencil, the right choice when staff write appointment times on the card.
- Soft Touch / Velvet
- A soft, calm feel that suits wellness, therapy and private practices.
- Raised Spot Gloss
- A raised gloss logo for practices that want the card to feel premium.
Ordering for a whole team
- Set up one design and change only the name, credentials and direct line for each person.
- Keep at least 1/8 inch of space between text and the trim line so nothing is cut off.
- Use a type size of 7pt or larger for phone numbers. Many patients read them without glasses.
- If you need cards for several locations or departments, a business plan keeps every order in one place.
Questions before you order
Can each staff member have their own name on the same design?
Yes. Order one set per person from the same design, changing the name, credentials and phone number. For larger teams, a business plan lets you reorder for new staff without rebuilding the design.
Which stock can staff write on?
Matte / Uncoated takes ballpoint and pencil cleanly, which is why it is the usual choice for appointment cards. Laminated and velvet stocks resist writing.
Can I add a QR code to our booking page?
Yes. Put the QR code in your artwork, ideally at least 0.75 inch square with a quiet margin around it, and check it scans on the proof before you approve.
Do I get to check the card before it prints?
Yes. You approve a proof before anything prints, and the approved file is what we print.
